I’m usually working on something in my spare-time, at the moment I’m working on two main projects, My XNA game engine “SystemX” and the accompanying content pipeline tool.

SystemX is a top down tile system with:-

  • Entity scripting
  • Tile Maps
  • Light & Shadow effects
  • particle effects
  • destructible terrain
  • multi-player offering local Co-op, network Co-op, Death-match options

Once these are feature complete I have three different Games I want to build using them :-

  1. Burt Higgins : the man from H.E.L.L.
    A remake of a game I helped out on with some friends, I’ll be using the SystemX game engine to reuse most of the game assets from the original.
  2. Burt  Higgins : Commando
    Using the same game assets but with new maps to  and scripts to build a homage to the ’80s classic “Commando” the game not the bloody awful film.
  3. Z-shift
    My take on the zombie survival genre, my basic idea is for it to be more of an RPG style game but this one is still in concept stage.

Once I am happy with the tool set and the engine I’ll think about packaging them in a library.
